The Hemo Vet is a robust, simple and easy to use Haemoglobin and Haematocrit measurement device for veterinary medicine produced by EKF Diagnostics.

Hemo Vet uses the same photometric azide methemoglobin method as the Hemo Control does, ensuring reliable results with a high precision (CV <2%).

Hemo Control is used to evaluate various species and is reliable in a wide temperature range. The Hemo Vet analyser features a bi-directional interface using a public standard protocol that allows direct integration with third-party software.

Hemo Vet Blood Analyser

EKF Diagnostics’ Hemo Vet Blood Analyser is a point-of-care haemoglobin and haematocrit analyser designed to provide quantitative, lab-quality haemoglobin results from 25 seconds. Hemo Vet uses the most established photometric azide methemoglobin method ensuring reliable results with a high precision (CV <2%).

Simple, accurate and reliable hemoglobin and hematocrit test

Hemo Vet is used by veterinarians to evaluate various species. It is the perfect analyser for stationary use and mobile settings. This is due to its back-lit screen, a soft-load cuvette holder, and integrated rechargeable battery. In addition to providing haemoglobin measurement, Hemo Vet also calculates haematocrit.

The Hemo Vet analyser features the a bi-directional interface using a public standard protocol that allows direct integration with third-party software.

A 2018 titled ‘Establishing blood gas ranges in healthy bovine neonates differentiated by age, sex, and breed type‘ studied hematocrit (PCV) levels in individual calves was calculated using a Hemo Vet.
