The Need for an Upgrade
The Sport Science Lab at Canterbury Christchurch University is a cutting-edge facility where students and researchers push the boundaries of human performance. To keep up with the latest advancements in sport science, the lab needed to replace its old Woodway treadmill with something more advanced. After considering their options, they decided on the h/p/cosmos Venus 200/100R.
But this wasn’t just a simple swap. The new treadmill needed to fit into an existing pit in the lab, which required a bespoke solution to ensure a perfect fit. This is where HaB’s expertise came into play.

This gives the athlete and the coach the opportunity to simulate and conducting physiological testing that cannot be achieved during outdoor sessions.
A Longstanding Partnership

Our team, consisting of Jack Elliott, Pete Brown, and Stuart Jackson, headed to Canterbury Christchurch University to handle the installation. Over the course of four days, from the 28th to the 31st of March 2022, we worked meticulously to ensure the treadmill fit perfectly into the existing pit.
This wasn’t without its challenges. The pit needed to be adjusted and finished to accommodate the new treadmill’s dimensions, requiring precision and attention to detail. Our team worked closely with the university to ensure that everything was done to their exact specifications.
The Result
The h/p/cosmos Venus 200/100R treadmill was successfully installed, providing the Sport Science Lab with the upgraded equipment they needed. The treadmill now sits perfectly within the pit, ready to support the university’s ongoing research and training programmes.
Canterbury Christchurch University was, once again, delighted with the result. They now have three h/p/cosmos treadmills in their lab, a testament to their trust in our products and services.
