Track and Field Instrumented Starting Blocks
Bertec‘s instrumented starting blocks offer force measurement of track field starts in both a research and training setting. These starting blocks are fully adjustable force analysis system for runners wanting to find their optimal starting position, researchers, and sports scientists to analyse and improve race starting mechanics.
Dual force plates
Individual force plates analyse individual feet separately. The foot placement is designed with maximum angle and position
adjustability for every runner’s needs. System structure and protective pedal covers ensure long-term system durability. The instrumented starting block has a load capacity of 2,500N in the vertical and shear, whilst sampling at 1,000Hz with both an analogue or digital output. The system will integrate perfectly into motion capture systems such as Noraxon’s 3D IMU system.
Additionally, the starting blocks feature replaceable track spikes, enabling use on various track surfaces. The dual force plates each have a load capacity of 3,000N in both vertical and shear directions, ensuring accurate force measurement. With a high sampling frequency of 1,000Hz, users can capture detailed force data. The system supports both analogue and digital output options and seamlessly integrates with motion capture systems for comprehensive biomechanical analysis.
